4/20/23 EMAIL ANNOUNCEMENT
I’m writing to share some news with you as a sponsor and supporter of the Shameless Book Sales newsletter. After ending Shameless Book Con late last year, I decided to return to the traditional workforce. I’ve been working for myself since 2006, and finding a job at a successful company was, to say the least, difficult. Happily, I can now share that I was offered a position at a company where I’ll work as a Digital Marketing Manager starting on May 1st!
With the start of my new job, I will be winding down the number of newsletters I send out every week. Instead of sending out an email every Monday – Friday, the newsletter will be sent on Tuesday and Friday each week. After looking at the analytics of the emails, those are the best-performing days for which to send to subscribers. I’ll be following this schedule starting immediately.
If you have any listings booked for future dates that don’t fall on a Tuesday or Friday, please reschedule your listings to a Tuesday or Friday with availability. I’ve opened Prime and Pre-Order listings to 2 openings per email instead of the standard 1 per email to accommodate reschedules. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Any sponsored listings not rescheduled before the originally scheduled date has passed will be rescheduled to the next available open listing. Also, if you have any unused package listings, I encourage you to schedule those as soon as possible.
I will be following this new schedule for about 2 months, at which point I anticipate ending the newsletter. It’s been a great way to stay connected to readers and offer opportunities to authors to promote your books. I’ll miss the daily communication, but it's necessary as I move into this phase of my career path.
And the BIGGEST THANK YOU for supporting Shameless Book Sales for the past several years! It’s been a great way for me to support my family and develop the skills it took to get me the job I’ll be doing. THANK YOU!
